Instructors view online copies of student progress via the new View Student Progress option (see above). Students who have purchased a personal copy of the program for their home use are also free to use the Lab Edition if the school has one they are not counted in the site user count. (Students who want to be able to use the program both at home and at the school lab should sign in their home copy first so that they will have a file available in the class list when they arrive at school). The home copy of the site can be installed personally by students at no charge to them, using the links at our Installers page it requires only the name of the school's 'webstudents' account when first launched, and creates a student file online that will also be available in the lab copy if your school is using a lab.

The Lab Edition should be installed by school techs: it requires the school's private serial number when first installed. Students who own a computer can access from the school lab the same student record they see at home. The other, still called the Site Edition, can be freely downloaded by students to their own computers. The Lab Edition allows students to either choose their name from the class list or create a new personal file. Your class account also has management tools accessible at the WebStudents link on our front page. These scores then are available to the class instructor via the new "View student progress reports" instructor option within Practica Musica (instructor options can be enabled in any copy of the program by emailing with your serial number and the name of the class account(s) you'd like to access).
